Recognizing parents as the spiritual leaders of their children, it is our desire to offer classes, programs and opportunities to teach kids about Jesus in a really fun way.

Each Sunday, your child can be part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, games and interactive lessons teaching Godly values at age appropriate levels.  Our Children’s Ministry Services meet at the same time as adults services and are designed for all children, 1 month to fifth grade.  So, while you are experiencing the life changing worship of Koinonia Church, your children are experiencing it as well.
Infants & Toddlers
Beyond taking care of babies in the nursery, our desire is to minister to our little ones through nurture, prayer and music.
The ones and two years old have class time every week, complete with music, activities, story time and some simple crafts.  It’s a blast!
Preschool & Kindergarten
These classes are wonderful, transitional places for growing children.  Three’s through kindergarten start in their age-specific classroom and then their leaders walk them to large group where they participate in worship, story time or skits, and learn Bible memory verses.  They return to their classrooms to do a fun activity, enjoy a snack and end with free play.
Zone 2:52 (1st-5th Grade)
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
Luke 2:52
During large group services on Sunday mornings, Zone 2:52 rocks the house with dynamic worship, prayer, dramas, small group activities, ministry time, and chances to invest in the Kingdom through offerings.  After large group, students proceed to grade appropriate classrooms for additional teaching through the use of video Bible lessons, classrooms discussions and crafts.
A solid core of youth, college-age, and adult leaders are consistently in with the students both as leaders and role models.  The kids learn who Jesus is and how we need to be like Him.  Our goal is to enable  kids to know and hear from God at every age.  If we help them discover and exercise their spiritual gifts now, they will be hooked for life!

Starting Monday, September 12
Parent Info meetings are Sept 4 & Sept 11 in the Great Room following services.
Mondays, 6pm
Once school’s back in session are you wondering how to also increase your child’s spiritual knowledge?  Is your child ready for more than Sunday School?  Is your child ready for an age-appropriate and FUN small group experience?  If your child is in 3rd-6th grade, we have something for them!
Our Breakout groups are small groups of 8-13 kids that meet Monday nights on campus during the school year (September-April).  We provide generous breaks for the holidays.
Some of the topics the kids talk about each week include:
    • Purpose for my life
    • The Bible
    • What is sin?
    • Salvation
    • Prayer
    • God the Father
    • God the Son
    • God the Holy Spirit
    • and more!
But wait…it’s not just another boring class each week-it’s fun!  Every 4th week is a review week that includes games, pizzas and dress up days (sports, PJ night, hat night, crazy hair night, etc).
Cost: $50 for the entire year and includes all study materials and pizza nights.

Drama and Choir (3rd grade and up) opportunities are available leading up to Easter and Christmas.
Practices/rehearsals are announced online and in our Sunday bulletins.

All Children’s Ministry and Youth leaders are background checked and trained in child safety. A list of any known Registered Sex Offenders who attend Koinonia is kept at the church office and is available upon request.  For more information, contact our Children Ministry Director Sylvia Gaston or call our Children’s Ministry Team at 559-582-1528 x 25.
